A kid in Madrid
Grew up more interested in how the game worked than in beating it — modding, tinkering, building things out of blocks long before it was a career. That itch to construct systems from scratch never left. It just found bigger canvases.
Head of Core Development @ Gravite
A kid from Madrid who cared more about building worlds than just playing in them — shipped a Kinect-controlled 3D game as his final thesis, then spent the next 13 years turning that same instinct into production software. Today I lead the engineering core of an ad exchange in Hamburg that processes billions of requests a month.
Madrid, ES → Hamburg, DE · JavaScript · Node.js · React · PHP
Every good save file starts at spawn and works its way toward the stronghold. Here's mine — from a bedroom in Madrid to leading core development in Hamburg, one biome at a time.

Ingeniería Informática (Computer Engineering). Spent a 2011 summer at the Universidad de Alicante on .NET mobile development, and co-ran T3chFest — a student tech conference proving you don't need to fly to Stanford to build and innovate.
The first real job — the shelter you throw up before nightfall. Built the brand and the whole customer-facing web interface, including a drag-and-drop builder, on an early Node + Backbone.Marionette stack.
Refactored internal tools onto a clean Backbone architecture — then taught the front- and back-end teams across Madrid, Florence and Milan how to work with Backbone, Angular, Node and Git. First taste of levelling up the people around me, not just the code.
Packed up and crossed the map to a new biome: Germany. Joined one of the leading global mobile ad exchanges and grew across four roles in four years — from the SPA platform to the ad-serving tag itself.
Nearly 8 years and three levels deep at Gravite — an OpenRTB ad exchange connecting DSPs and SSPs in real time across billions of requests a month. Grew from building dashboards to owning the whole technology core.
Before the ad exchanges came 3D games and robots. A couple of clips from the UC3M game-dev days.
A sampler from ~57 public repos and a decade of side quests — newest first: libraries, games, tools and experiments, all on GitHub.

Thirteen years of accumulated tools — from vanilla JS in a browser to real-time data pipelines and the people practices to ship them.
Creative, result-oriented, responsible and technically sound — always ready to put all his energy into getting the job done, with exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skill. A great asset to any company.

One of the best front-end developers I could work with. Extensive knowledge of the latest JavaScript technologies across different environments, and he brings dynamism to every project. A person I've learned a lot from.
Pedro Villatoro Navarro — CEO, AD4 Octógono · teammate
Former game developer, newbie entrepreneur, and an incurable optimist about the JavaScript world. I care about clean architecture, fast reliable deploys, and — above all — building an inclusive team where every engineer can thrive. Diversity of language, background and perspective is the core strength of the org I lead.
Open to interesting problems, good teams and the occasional side quest. The fastest way to reach me:
